Arrow Electronic's Super Bowl Ad Produced By Denverites

DENVER (CBS4) - Five young Denver guys with some video cameras set out to make a Super Bowl commercial with a robotic set of Legos and a paper airplane -- and it worked.

Jon Stevenson of Elevation Digital Media says the low-budget commercial is rich in creativity. Arrow Electronics of Englewood loved it.

"I think it's fantastic," said Hugo Meyer of Arrow Electronics, a Fortune 500 company that commissioned the spot to run during the second half of the Super Bowl. "I think for a Super Bowl ad you have to come up with something that cuts through the clutter, doing something simple, something different that will hopefully garner people's attention."

In the lighthearted spot there are wires and toy tires and countless Legos that work together to shoot off paper airplanes. It might seem an unlikely commercial but the finished product, producers hope, is quirky enough to catch your eye.

Stevenson, one of the producers of the spot, is thrilled their work will be shown in front of such a massive football audience.

"When they finally told us that it was going to be in the Super Bowl we were beside ourselves, " Stevenson said.
