Arrest Made In Red Feather Lakes Stabbings

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Larimer County authorities have arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with three stabbings at Red Feather Lakes.

Norman Wheatley faces assault charged in connection with the Tuesday stabbings, none of which were fatal.

All four parties are believed to be connected to the Rainbow Family, a migrant counterculture association.

The stabbings happened Tuesday evening on U.S. Forest Service land near Red Feather Lakes. Authorities have not speculated on what prompted the stabbings.

Four people were injured, including Wheatley. One of the injured women refused medical treatment, and details on the other victims were not available.
