Northglenn City Council Elects Antonio Esquibel As Mayor Pro Tem

NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4)- Northglenn has a new mayor. Northglenn City Council members unanimously elected Antonio Esquibel as Mayor pro tem earlier this week.

Esquibel will serve as the mayor until the general election in November.

Esquibel replaces Carol Dodge who resigned after serving two years as Northglenn's mayor and 10 years in the city council.

Dodge said she could no longer work in a toxic environment. She has not expanded on what circumstances led to her resignation.
