Another Defendant Named In Army Bonus Fraud Case
DENVER (CBS4)- Another defendant has been charged in the U.S. military recruiting bonus investigation. This time it involves a civilian employee.
Jaycee Collier has been charged with wire fraud and bribery of a public official.
Collier, 29, was a lead human resources division assistant at the Military Entrance Processing Station in Denver.
The indictment claims he defrauded the U.S. Army Reserve by collecting bonus money for 65 recruits, totalling $28,000.
Except in his position, he was not eligible for those awards.

Earlier, three Colorado National Guardsmen were charged in Adams County with receiving thousands of dollars in bonuses for those who they did not recruit. Some of those cases are still pending.
Thurman Foster has been sentenced to five years probation in federal court and must pay $31,000 in restitution for taking bonuses that were not due him for recruits in the Colorado National Guard.
