Amy Van Dyken-Rouen Expected At Craig Hospital Wednesday Morning

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Former Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen will be transferred from Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center in Arizona to Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Englewood Wednesday morning.

Van Dyken-Rouen is recovering after severing her spinal cord in an ATV accident in Arizona. She will be transferred to Craig Hospital courtesy of Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance.

Van Dyken-Rouen is a graduate of Colorado State University and married former Denver Broncos punter Tom Rouen. In the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 she won four gold medals and then won two more in the Sydney Olympics in 1998.

Van Dyken-Rouen will speak to the media with her surgeon before she boards the plane for Colorado.
