'Always Available' Mechanic Arrested In Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (CBS4)- The man who operated the "Always Available Mobile Mechanics" shop has been arrested in Iowa.

Ronald Cox is wanted on several arrest warrants out of Arvada and has been on the run.

Police said between February and this month, they received reports of thefts relating to car repair work that was not completed. Some of those customers' vehicles were missing after Cox seemingly disappeared.

Cox was the owner of Always Available Mobile Mechanics in Arvada. He was located after citizens contacted Crime Stoppers which led to investigations in two other states. Cox was arrested in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he was associated with a vehicle that had been stolen from Illinois.

He was last believed to be living and working out of a stolen red truck.

Cox will face extradition back to Colorado on warrants for misdemeanor theft and three felony counts of motor vehicle theft. The extradition process will begin on Thursday.

Other charges are possible.
