Asthma & Allergy Sufferers Beware, More Smoke & Haze Heading Toward Colorado

DENVER (CBS4) - It's normally a welcomed sign of the changing seasons, but this year, it means trouble for those who suffer from asthma and other respiratory issues.

A series of cold fronts will head toward Colorado over the next week and each one promises cooler temperatures, scattered storms and a new round of smoke-filled skies.

Northerly winds behind each front will usher in plenty of smoke from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Canada, where hundreds of thousands of acres of land are on fire.

It's not clear at this time exactly how bad air quality will get along the Front Range but it could rival what we saw last week.

The first front is expected to arrive Monday with another one arriving by the coming weekend.
