All Remaining Theater Shooting Civil Cases Against Cinemark Dismissed
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - A federal judge has dismissed all of the remaining civil cases by Aurora theater shooting victims against the movie theater owner Cinemark.
The cases had been scheduled to go to trial next month.

The victims involved in the civil suits felt Cinemark could have done more to prevent the massacre, such as having security guards on duty and an alarm on the exit door.
"A jury could not plausibly find Cinemark's actions or inactions were a substantial factor in causing this tragedy," Judge R. Brooke Jackson wrote in his ruling.
James Holmes, the shooter, was convicted in criminal court and got a life sentence.
Cinemark's attorney Kevin Taylor said on Friday that "this tremendous tragedy that occurred at the hands of a madman and was unforseeable and unpredicted."
Other victims lost a similar civil case against the theater owner in Arapahoe District Court last month.
