All-Female 'Ghostbusters' Cast Announced

It’s (almost) official, four extremely funny ladies are expected to star in the reboot of “Ghostbusters.”

For weeks now several names have been swirling around the rumor mill, and today we finally learned just who the foursome will be.

Melissa McCarthy, as many suspected, is said to star alongside her “Bridesmaids” co-star and “Saturday Night Live” alum Kristen Wiig. Current SNL-ers Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon round out the cast.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news this afternoon stating, “negotiations are ongoing, but the quartet are expected to sign on as the specter-seeking, poltergeist-punishing, phantom-phollowing foursome in the reboot.”

Director Paul Feig, who directed both Wiig and McCarthy in “Bridesmaids,” took to Twitter for a more simplified statement:

No word on when the movie will be released. Filming should begin sometime this summer in New York.
