Alcohol May Have Factor In Fatal Crash In Arvada

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - One person died and two others were injured in a crash at 80th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in Arvada Friday morning.

The driver of an SUV was killed after it collided with a car at approximately 4 a.m. A passenger in the SUV sustained serious injuries. The person in the passenger seat was wearing a seatbelt and was not seriously hurt.

The driver of the car also sustained serious injuries.

Police say alcohol may have been a factor, but didn't say which driver might have been drinking and driving.

The intersection had to be closed for several hours for the investigation.
