Air Force Academy Cadet Arrested In Boulder Sex Assault

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — An Air Force Academy cadet has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a woman last year in Boulder.

Boulder police said Wednesday that 21-year-old Jack Warmolts was arrested at the academy and was being held at the Boulder County jail.

Police say the assault happened last April in the University Hill neighborhood near the University of Colorado on a night when the alleged victim was with a group of cadets, including Warmolts. Police didn't release any other details but said that DNA evidence collected during investigation matched Warmolts' DNA.

He has not been charged and it's not clear if he has a lawyer yet.

In a statement, the academy says it's cooperating with Boulder police.
