Aerospace Industry Takes Over At The State Capitol
DENVER (CBS4) - Politics took a back seat to science for a time Monday at the state Capitol as the aerospace industry took over.
Members of the industry set up exhibits to explain just what they do. In 2014 Colorado ranked first in the nation for high-tech aerospace jobs.
The industry in Colorado reaches around the world.
"The ability to integrate things like infrared, weather and GPS into the same applications, and be able to deliver capability for the entire planet right here from Colorado," Frank Backes with the Braxton Science and Technology Group said.
Companies like Ball, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and United Launch Alliance were on hand along with smaller companies and several universities.
