Deputy Arrested In Assault Case

DENVER (CBS4) - A deputy with the Adams County Sheriff's Office has been arrested in Denver.

Dean Dominguez was placed on administrative leave by his department after last Wednesday's arrest.

Police told CBS4 that officers arrived at 3398 N. Oneida Street in Denver about 9 p.m. on Aug. 10 on reports of a domestic incident.

The victim told officer that she and her husband of eight years got into a verbal argument that turned physical when Dominguez, 42, grabbed her, tripped her and pinned her to the ground. She also told officers that he slammed her head on the floor of the family room.

Dominguez faces a possible assault charge. Other charges that may be filed in the case include wrongs to minors and disturbing the peace.
