A Special Kind Of Traffic Jam Closes Colorado Highway
SAGUACHE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - It's roundup time on Colorado ranches! Or, in this case, on Highway 285 in south-central Colorado, where a rancher was moving some cattle.
Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews stopped to help with traffic control.
CDOT posted a photo of it to Facebook, titling it "recognizing our western heritage."
It comes with a warning: "It's that time of year - motorists traveling through our state's rural roads are reminded to be alert!"
A lot of Colorado roads and highways cut through open pastures, so it's a good reminder to always keep your eyes open for any livestock or wildlife that may be on or near the roadway.
