9-Year-Old Boy Accidentally Shot In Head By Younger Brother Dies

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A 9-year-old boy who was accidentally shot in the head while playing with a loaded gun with his younger brother has died.

The shooting happened on Jan. 5 in Trinidad inside a car parked at the Sparks Natural Gas station on Goddard Street. Investigators say the boys found a loaded gun in the car and it went off while the younger brother was playing with it.

The boy was flown to Children's Hospital where he was removed from life support over the weekend and died.

An employee of the gas station was in charge of watching the boys. At this point he has not been arrested.

The child's name hasn't been released.
