6th Avenue Will Close Overnight For Signage, Median Work

DENVER (CBS4) - Westbound US 6 will close at Kalamath Street for overnight work tonight until early Wednesday morning.

Sixth Avenue will close starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday and will reopen at 5 a.m. Wednesday. The closure will also include the ramps from I-25 to westbound US 6.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says crews will use this time to set two large directional signs, install the rest of the center median light poles, and finish up some painting and asphalt paving work on westbound US 6 near Knox Court.

While the closure is in place you should use Alameda or Colfax avenues as alternates.

CDOT says the contractor is on schedule to finish the entire project on December 1.
