560 Fire Burning Near Cheesman Reservoir Now 100% Contained

(CBS4) - A wildfire that broke out last Saturday near Cheesman Reservior is now fully contained. It was burning in steep rugged terrain full of dead standing and downed trees and grass.

Officials say a total of 83 acres burned in the vicinity of Forest Service Road 560, which is about three miles northwest of the reservoir. Fire danger remains high this week as temperatures climb toward record levels. Several Red Flag Warnings are in effect.
