50 Soldiers With Colorado Army National Guard Coming Home

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - Nearly 50 soldiers with the Colorado Army National Guard are set to return home after spending the last 10 months in Afghanistan.

The soldiers with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment completed 730 missions and flew a total of 1,900 combat hours. The air ambulance unit, also known as aerial medevac, helped about 300 patients during its time in Afghanistan.

The soldiers will be honored during a ceremony at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
