49 Immigrants Take Oath Of Allegiance At History Colorado Center

DENVER (CBS4) - Forty-nine immigrants from 27 countries are now U.S. citizens after they took the Oath of Allegiance Wednesday afternoon at the History Colorado Center in Denver.

"It was my dream to be citizen of America, I love the country," an immigrant said.

The naturalization ceremony had multiple guest speakers including U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman and Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams.

History Colorado Center employees sang the National Anthem along with "This Land Is Your Land."

Last year about 655,000 immigrants became citizens.
