4,000 Pounds Of Glass Trap, Kill Colorado Worker

AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Aurora fire officials say a man has died after being pinned by 4,000 pounds of glass in two wooden crates at a window company.

Capt. Diane Lord of the Aurora Fire Department said Saturday that the victim was helping unload the crates of glass at the business. It's unclear if he was using equipment in the process. No one else was injured.

She says crews responded to a call at 8:35 a.m. Saturday and found the man trapped in a trailer. Rescuers helped extricate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released, and it will come from the coroner's office.

The company's outgoing message says it is closed Saturday, and a voice mail left for the business wasn't immediately returned.
