DENVER (CBS4) - A judge in Denver on Monday sentenced the third and last suspect in a cold case murder of two people to 36 years in prison.

Prosecutors say McConnell and two others broke into a home in Denver and stabbed three people. Two of the victims, Jacqueline Gallegos and Nelson Swiggett, died. The lone survivor told police that several intruders had come into his home at about 3 a.m. demanding money and drugs, and then attacked them.
The case was unsolved until 2012 when DNA evidence linked the men to the crime.
Samuel Sims and Andre Jackson are serving life prison terms for their role in the crime.
