3 Snowmobilers Missing In Garfield County Located, Airlifted To Safety

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Three snowmobilers who were reported missing on Sunday were located and rescued on Monday.

According to the Garfield County Sheriff's Office, the Garfield Search and Rescue Team regrouped and searched again for snowmobilers Monday morning.

"The search group met at the West Elk Trailhead at 10 a.m. to continue their ground search. They enlisted the help of HATTS and used a National Guard helicopter in their efforts," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

The missing snowmobilers were spotted from a National Guard helicopter around 11:15 a.m. and airlifted out.
