3 Sheriff Deputies Fired Over Excessive Force Against Inmates

DENVER (CBS4) - CBS4 has confirmed three Denver sheriff deputies have been fired for using excessive force against inmates.

The notice of all three terminations came within a two-week period earlier this summer.

Deputy William Jackson was fired for an incident in 2014 when he threw a mentally ill patient back into his cell after seizing his Bible.

The department also says Deputy Steven Roybal used excessive force in 2015 when he smashed an inmate's finger on a cell door.

Deputy Monwell Fuller was terminated for using force on an inmate as retaliation.
