3 Charged In Triple Homicide In Park Hill

DENVER (CBS4)- Three people have been charged in connection with a triple homicide in Park Hill earlier this month.

Chadd Evans, Dejuan Jones and Deashaun Turrentine each have been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of aggravated robbery.

The charges allege the Evans, 32, Jones, 23, and Turrentine, 24, came to Denver from Oklahoma to illegally purchase several pounds of marijuana on June 3. Police believe that during the transaction they shot and killed two men and tried to kill five others.

The shooting also resulted in the death of Derrius Woods, an associate of the suspects.

When police arrived at the home at 3622 East 36th Avenue, near Hudson Street on June 3, after an emergency call came in about a shooting they found a person who had been shot in the arm. That person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

When officers went into the home they found two people dead and Woods seriously injured. He died soon afterwards.

Evans was arrested in Tulsa, Okla. Turrentine has been taken into custody in Las Vegas and Jones remains at large.
