2nd Man Dies In 4 Days While Skiing At Breckenridge

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - An Illinois man died while skiing at Breckenridge Ski Resort Thursday morning.

Authorities said Krzysztof Kostelic, 46, of Rolling Meadows, Illinois may have suffered a medical issue that caused him to crash into a tree on an intermediate run. He was wearing a helmet.

It was the second death at the resort in four days. A 22-year-old male died while skiing in expert terrain on Peak 7 in Breckenridge last Monday. He has been identified as Jacob Koltun, a University of Colorado student from California. He wasn't wearing a helmet

The deputy coroner said the circumstances are consistent with an accidental death.
