2nd Colorado Man Dies After Tree Accident In Nebraska

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (CBS4)- A second Colorado man has died after an unusual accident in Nebraksa.

Three men were sitting at a picnic table near Scottsbluff on Sunday when a cottonwood tree fell on them.

Matthew Weaver, 49, of Loveland, Colorado died after the tree landed on him at Lake Minatare State Recreation Area.

Mark Pennell, 44, of Lakewood, died of his injuries on Tuesday.

A third man, Daniel Randall, 31, of Bayard, Nebraska, was injured but recovering at a hospital.

Authorities say one of the men was able to free himself, and a good Samaritan used a tractor to lift the tree off the other two.
