2,000+ Xcel Customers Lose Power On Super Bowl Sunday

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Some 2,100 Xcel Energy customers in Lakewood were without power for about 35 minutes on Super Bowl Sunday.

The power outage was in the Green Mountain area of Lakewood. The power went out just before 6 p.m. Sunday and was restored by 6:35 p.m.

Xcel Energy spokesman Mark Stutz said crews were on scene trying to determine what caused the outage.

Some Broncos fans were upset they couldn't watch the Super Bowl and Super Bowl Halftime Show.
