2 Springs Hospitals Put On Lockdown After Reports Of 'Suspicious Person'

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Two hospitals in Colorado Springs were placed on lockdown on Monday after reports of a suspicious person.

According to KKTV in Colorado Springs, Penrose Main Hospital located at 2222 North Nevada Avenue was on lockdown starting just before noon. Appointments were canceled and people inside were told to lock doors and stay in their rooms. Police cleared the scene after about an hour.

KKTV also reported that Memorial Hospital located at 1400 East Boulder Street was also placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after police got a report about a suspicious person there. When police located the person they determined he or she wasn't a threat.

Police didn't make any arrests and Memorial Hospital was also cleared.
