2 People Injured In Small Plane Crash Near Granby Airport

GRANBY, Colo. (CBS4)- Two people on board a small plane that crashed near the Granby Airport suffered minor injuries. What caused the plane to crash is being investigated.

The two people on board were flying in a 2006 Cirrus from Nevada with plans of landing at the Granby Airport.

During the landing approach the pilot decided to make a fly around before landing and the airplane stalled and crashed near the runway at the airport.

There was no fire in the crash but some fuel did leak and the airplane was heavily damaged.

The two people on board were taken to the Granby Medical Clinic with minor injuries.

The Cirrus is a fixed wing single-engine plane with four seats.
