2 Suspects Arrested After Car Found On Fire, Police Chase

DENVER (CBS4) - A chase through Denver neighborhoods ended with the arrest of two suspects.

The case started with a shooting in Aurora on Thursday. A man was found around 2:30 a.m. at a Travelodge in Aurora with gunshot wounds. He later died. Investigators tied the suspects to a car which was set on fire in Denver Friday afternoon.

The car was still on fire when CBS4 got on scene. Arson investigators were looking into if it was intentionally set on fire.

Police saw the suspects nearby and that's when the chase started. Officers caught up to the suspects near Federal Boulevard and 9th Avenue. A chase went into a neighborhood where a minivan was hit.

On the east side of Federal the chase came to an end as police officers executed a maneuver to stop the car. The suspects tried to run. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

After being treated it's expected the suspects will be heading to jail.
