2 Men In Surgical Masks With Guns Rob Starbucks

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Two men robbed a Starbucks early Friday morning in Centennial. It happened just before 6 a.m. at 15795 East Arapahoe Road on the corner with South Parker Road.

The robbers walked up to Starbucks door casually, but then were aggressive entering with semi-automatic guns in hand. Three employees had just opened the store, no customers were inside.

No one was injured but the employees were shaken up. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash in a CVS bag.

They were wearing surgical masks and latex gloves, and both males were carrying semi-automatic handguns.

Julie Brooks of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says,"They were robbed by two black males wearing black hoodies, black pants."

Detectives believe the suspects are somewhat experienced because of their mannerisms. The way they carried out the robbery indicate this is likely not their first time. Police now need the public's help identifying the two men.

Because the suspects were well covered, detectives want everyone to see their mannerisms inside the store through the surveillance video, hoping that will help to identify them.

The suspects ran away heading north. It's unknown whether they got into a car or continued on foot.

Employees say after the suspects left the store with cash, they dropped some of the stolen change in the parking lot, which is now evidence.

Police said it is too early to determine if this incident is related to other similar robberies.

Anyone who was in the area of East Arapahoe and South Parker around 5:15 a.m. Friday is asked to call the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.

"Because this is a fairly closed off area and not many routes in and out," Brooks says. "We are asking anybody who might have been in the area of the Starbucks about 5:15 this morning, if they recall seeing anything suspicious, call the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office."
