Firefighters rescued two people and they were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The severity of their injuries is unknown.

The fire started in a front bedroom of the home. Fire crews had a tough time getting into the home to extinguish the fire because the occupants had a lot of stuff blocking the way.

"The conditions were a little bit hard for them to navigate … possible hoarder house … a lot of people put up … they keep a lot of stuff -- boxes, old magazines. It just makes it harder for our guys to get in there," Assistant Fire Chief C.J. Haberkorn told CBS4.

Firefighters say it's important to keep exits clear in case of a fire.

What caused the fire is under investigation.
