2 Hospitalized After Fiery Crash On South University

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Two people were hospitalized on Tuesday morning after the car they were riding in crashed and the car burst into flames.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle was traveling north on University at what witnesses describe as a high rate of speed. The driver lost control and crossed over the southbound lanes and crashed into the parking lot at 6631 S. University. The car then burst into flames.

The crash happened about 1:18 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the South Suburban Parks and Rec building.

When first responders arrived they found two people outside the vehicle. Their conditions are unknown.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
