2 Charged In Beating Death Of Woman At Adams County Motel

BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) — Prosecutors have charged two people in the beating death of a Thornton woman at a motel in Adams County.

The Adams County District Attorney's Office says 30-year-old Emiliano Damacio Urioste and 28-year-old Teresa Dean were charged Thursday with first-degree murder and robbery in the death of 31-year-old Abigail Cozad.

Cozad's body was found in the Primrose Motel in unincorporated Adams County on June 1. Investigators believe she went to the motel with Urioste and Dean the day before.

Urioste's preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 4, and Dean's is set for Sept. 18.

Jail documents do not indicate if either has hired an attorney.
