The bodies of an adult female and a girl were discovered just before 7:30 a.m. Monday when deputies responded to a home on the 9400 block of Crestmore Way in Highlands Ranch. They were alerted to the situation by a 911 call from a man who lives at the home.

The adult female has been identified as Cristi Benavides, 39, who was temporarily living in the home.

The juvenile has been identified as 10-year-old Emma Benavides. A letter sent home to parents at Northridge Elementary School in Littleton indicates Emma was a student there.

Deputies said that there was no threat to the community after the incident and no information about a possible suspect has been released.
