2 Birds Of Prey Rescued In Separate Incidents

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - In two separate incidents, two birds of prey were rescued.

They both happened Friday in Lakewood, when animal control officers were first called to Bear Creek Lake Park.

A red tailed hawk flew into power lines there.

While the officers were out, they also found an owl stranded on a golf course suffering from a broken jaw.

There's no word on how that injury happened.

Both animals were taken to a rehab facility.
