2 Arrested In Car Trespassing Case In Jeffco

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Two men have been arrested in the most recent car trespass case in Jefferson County.

On Thursday deputies were called to the area of the 5800 block of W. Roxbury Place on a report of two suspicious men who were looking into car windows. Deputies found both men and arrested them.

Derrick Jason Hawkes was arrested for suspicion of first degree criminal trespass. William Lewis Bisson was arrested for parole violation.

South Jeffco has experienced more than 20 car trespasses since the first of the year. All 20 have been made to unlocked cars and have occurred in many different neighborhoods.

The Jeffco Sheriff's Office is warning residents to always lock their vehicles by placing message signs in those neighborhoods where the thefts occurred.

Jeffco did not indicate that Hawkes and Bisson were responsible for the other crimes.
