14 Inches Of Snow Falls In Eldorado Springs Near Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - At Scott Carpenter Park along 30th Avenue in Boulder, about five inches of snow had fallen by Wednesday evening's rush hour.

"(It's) terrible," Anderson said, laughing. "Absolutely terrible. We were coming out for warm weather and beautiful park drives."

Still, there were opportunities for sightseeing, just not what he expected.

"Elk, deer, hopefully no cars going off the roads. We don't want to see that. We want to see some wildlife and just the beauty of the place," he said.

Temperatures plummeted to minus-1 in Denver at 7 a.m., and more records could be broken Wednesday and Thursday.
