480 Flights Canceled At DIA On Monday, More Expected Tuesday

DENVER (CBS4) - Snow started falling Sunday afternoon and there's plenty more on the way. Denver International Airport reported 14 cancellations on Sunday but is anticipating many more on Monday and Tuesday.

Most of the cancellations on Sunday were to mountain destinations that are already getting hit by the storm.

Monday morning DIA reported 480 flight cancellations for the day, which is about 32 percent of their daily flight traffic.

The airport warns travelers flying out on Monday or Tuesday to allow for extra time and to drive with extreme caution.
