Police Arrest Man In Xenia Double Homicide

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Police arrested a man on Monday in connection with two murders at 14th Avenue and Xenia Street last Wednesday.

Jamaal Marquiz Edwards, 29, is accused of killing James Brown III, 42, and John Shoeboot, 53, both Denver residents. Brown III was transported by ambulance from 1425 Xenia St, while Shoeboot was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were found at the Xenia Village Apartments, which are run by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Residents in the area said many of the people who live there are homeless and trying to get back on their feet.
