130 Flights Cancelled, 1-Hour Delays At DIA

DENVER (CBS4)- The wind remained strong at Denver International Airport on Tuesday morning but the snow had tapered off which helped alleviate flight delays and cancellations.

There were 130 flight cancellations at DIA as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, down from the initial 150 flights cancelled.

Passengers could expect about a one hour delay. DIA encouraged travelers to check with their airline before heading to the airport.

Most flights continued to undergo deicing procedures which could add an additional 15 minutes to the delay.

Pena Boulevard was open but was slushy and wet in places.

Snow removal crews worked overnight to keep runways and parking lots cleared of snow.
