Police: Longmont Drug Supplier Lived Next To High School

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - The main supplier of drugs for Silver Creek High School students lived 917 feet from the school, police say.

Police arrested Stephen Tuggle, 47, after a three months of investigation and surveillance. He faces multiple drug-related counts and could spend eight years in prison, if convicted.

Staci Stallings, a police resource officer at the school, said their investigation nabbed Tuggle after learning that nearly 12 dozen students may have bought marijuana not far from the school parking lot. Most transactions happened after school.

State law forbids marijuana sales within 1,000 feet of a school.

Police records indicate Tuggle's children may have been involved in the sales.
