1 Dead In Hit & Run Involving 4 Vehicles

DENVER (CBS4)- One person was killed in Denver on Monday evening in a hit-and-run that involved four vehicles.

The hit-and-run crash happened after 7 p.m. Monday on Colorado Boulevard at Interstate 70.

Police said the driver who caused the crash ran to a nearby gas station, flagged down a driver and took off. It is unclear whether the person who stopped and the suspect knew each other.

Police tweeted an update on the crash.Southbound lanes of Colorado Boulevard remained closed at 10 p.m. during the crash investigation and cleanup. There was no estimate on when the lanes would reopen.

Police have not released a suspect description. The victim has not been identified.
