Man Found Dead After Car Lands In Reservoir

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - Police say one man is dead after the vehicle he was in got submerged in the reservoir in Littleton's Clement Park.

The incident happened at approximately 4:30 a.m.

A dive team from the Littleton Fire Department pulled the man from the vehicle and he was reportedly unresponsive when they got him out.

He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Officials in Jefferson County haven't released the man's name, but they said he was in a 2007 Pontiac Coupe.

So far it's not clear how the car wound up in Johnson Reservoir, but a witness said they first saw the vehicle driving down a bike path and that it then ended up upside down in the water.
