1 Dead After Home Invasion, Shooting In Durango

DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4)- One man was shot and killed during a home invasion in Durango early Tuesday morning.

Officers rushed to the 200 block of Jenkins Ranch Road in Durango early Tuesday morning where they discovered one gunshot victim. The victim has been identified as Samuel Gordon, 20, of Santa Fe, N.M. Gordon was a student at Fort Lewis College.

He was rushed to Mercy Regional Medical Center where he died a short time later.

Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the scene. Four suspects inside the vehicle have been linked to Gordon's death.

The four suspects have been identified as Kodi Kuauhtli, 19, of Phoenix, Alvin Flores, 22, of Phoenix, Daniel Wright, 20, of Phoenix and Kuauhtleko Garcia, 21, of Scottsdale.

Charges are pending against the four suspects taken into custody.

What led up to the shooting has not been released.
