World Series Stars Garland, Iguchi, Blum Added To SoxFest

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three more stars of the 2005 World Series champion Chicago White Sox have been added to the lineup for SoxFest in January.

The team announced Wednesday that pitcher Jon Garland, second baseman Tadahito Iguchi and infielder Geoff Blum have joined six other members of the World Series team who will be at the annual team festival – third baseman Joe Crede; left fielder Scott Podsednik; center fielder Aaron Rowand; and pitchers Jose Contreras, Orlando Hernandez, and Bobby Jenks.

Current players scheduled to attend are first baseman Jose Abreu, center fielder Adam Eaton, catcher Tyler Flowers, third baseman Conor Gillaspie, right fielder Avisail Garcia, relief pitcher Jake Petricka, starting pitcher Jose Quintana and shortstop Alexei Ramirez. Manager Robin Ventrua, pitching coach Don Cooper and hitting coach Todd Steverson will also be in attendance.

To date, the White Sox haven't announced if ace pitcher Chris Sale or recently retired star first baseman Paul Konerko will be attending.

In an attempt to appease and please their fans, the White Sox have lowered the cost of weekend passes to SoxFest 2015 by 45 percent. The White Sox are offering new options such as a $40 weekend pass and a new children's pass for $20.

The event will be held Jan. 23-25 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, a spacious venue that has more to offer in ballroom space than previous venues. For more details on tickets and such, visit whitesox.com/SoxFest.
