Work Halted At Fulton Market Building Where Cannabis Dispensary Wants To Open

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Work has been ordered to stop at a Fulton Market building where a cannabis dispensary wants to open.
A sign out front said NuEra Cannabis, formerly NuMed, wants to open at the West Loop site.
But the Fulton Market Association said there is already another dispensary trying to open across the street, and there can only be one in that area by law.
The association also said since state regulators have not chosen a dispensary yet, no building or renovation can take place.
