Woodstock Woman Found Dead Outside Home Of Cold Exposure

(STMW) -- A northwest suburban woman found dead outside her Woodstock home Monday morning died of cold exposure.

The 70-year-old woman was found outside her home by a caretaker about 9 a.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement from the McHenry County coroner's office. Her name was not released Tuesday afternoon pending notification of her family.

An examination found signs of cold exposure, but the final cause of death is pending further studies, according to the coroner's office. There is no evidence of foul play.
