Woodstock Street Supervisor Arrested For Stealing Road Salt

WOODSTOCK, Ill. (CBS) -- A street supervisor for northwest suburban Woodstock has been arrested for allegedly stealing 2,000 pounds of road salt.

Woodstock police said 57-year-old Dale Behm, the city's head of street maintenance, has been charged with felony theft after stealing one ton of road salt and two snowplow blades.

Behm was released from McHenry County Jail this weekend, and has been suspended with pay, pending the outcome of his case.

His salary is more than $84,000 a year. He has worked for Woodstock for 36 years.
