Women Targeted In Recent Robberies

(STMW) -- Police are warning residents about a pair of robberies reported in the past week on the West and Near West sides.

In both robberies, three males approached a female victim, hit her and ran off with her property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The first robbery was reported about noon March 9 in the 3100 block of West Walton, police said. The other occurred about 9 p.m. March 10 in the 2300 block of West Madison.

The suspects are described as three males between 16 and 20 years old and weighing 160 to 170 pounds, police said.
